Excella’s Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) class is a two-day, interactive learning experience that provides students a full immersion into Agile principles and the concepts and practices that define the Scrum framework.
What You’ll Learn
After completing this course, students will understand:
The relationship between Scrum, and Agile
How Scrum teams operate, including roles, events, and artifacts
The relationship between the ScrumMaster, Product Owner, and the development team
Students who complete the class will be eligible to take the Certified ScrumMaster exam and become Certified ScrumMasters.
This course also allows students to claim 14 Project Management Institute (PMI)® Professional Development Units (PDUs).*
The cost of registration includes exam and certification fees, and a two-year membership to the Scrum Alliance. Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks will be provided on both days of class.
The class will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the MicroTek Dulles Training Center at 12950 Worldgate Drive, Suite 400, Herndon, Virginia 20170. On-site complimentary parking will be available.

About Your Trainer
Dr. Patrick McConnell is an Agile Coach and Certified Scrum Trainer at Excella, specializing in Agile Transformation in the Public Sector and Scaling Agile Frameworks. A criminologist by training, Patrick transitioned from developing geospatial applications in Agile Teams to coaching and training Agile methods and frameworks. He has served as an Agile Coach and Trainer for over 50 US Government organizations, as well as the States of Alabama, Maryland, and New York.
Students submitting cancellation requests 10 business days or more prior to the start of the course are entitled to a full refund. Students submitting cancellation requests less than 10 business days prior to the start of the course will be issued a credit toward a future Excella training course. The credit will be equal to the amount paid for the initial course less any applicable fees. Should the organizer cancel the course for any reason, each registered student will be refunded 100% of the registration cost they paid.
