British Academy of Dramatic Combat Certification in Rapier and DaggerRapier and dagger is a dual-wielding Renaissance weapon system that is used throughout the Three Musketeers films and in many of Shakespeare's plays. Over the course of five days we will build towards performing a choreographed fight within the context of a scripted scene. The course is open to beginners and also to those with existing BADC certifications:Standard Level is suitable for students who are new to dramatic combat and for students with an existing BADC Standard Unarmed certification who are looking to consolidate to full Standard status.Further Level is open to students who have completed their BADC full Standard and are training towards Intermediate or Advanced Actor-Combatant status. Equivalent certifications from other dramatic combat organisations are also recognised (BASSC / APC / SAFD / FDC / SADFDi)Taught by Bethan and Robin, Fight Directors for stage and screen and certified Dramatic Combat Teachers with the @badc_uk.
